§ 2-2. Same—Selection; term; compensation; duties; combining offices.

  • (a)

    Except as otherwise provided by law, resolution, ordinance or applicable personnel rule, regulation or other enactment, all appointive officers and employees of the city shall serve at the will of the city council and shall receive such salary, fees or compensation as the city council shall, from time to time, prescribe and affix, and shall perform the duties customarily pertaining to the respective positions which they hold and such other duties as the city council may, from time to time, direct and require of them.

    (b)

    The city council may in its discretion elect such persons to hold and fill any two (2) or more of said positions.
